New Enotria: The Last Song Trailer Shows More Of The World And Combat

Enotria: The Last Song prepared a new trailer which was showcased back at Gamescom 2024. The new soulslike action-RPG by Jyamma Games definitely looks like a soulslike. But more importantly, its world looks something than just a riff of Dark Souls or Elden Ring.

Of course, there’s the usual large-sized enemies (giant enemy crab says ciao), and you can do a backstab with a long animation to just pull the weapon out of stabbed enemy, a staple of soulslikes.

But there are some fascinating differences. The camera angle for instance hover not only closer and higher over the player character, but it also almost always centers on the player character which gives off the vibes of a third-person action game of the 2000s. In other words, charming. Combat has plenty of options, from parries to projectile spams as well as big hammers. And most noticable, the music has the scintilating rhythm that’s reminscent of Tarantella Napoletana. Enotria is based on Italian folklore and culture, so it’s cool to see this being expressed.

This is the first game by indie developer Jyanama Games. The developer has signed a sub-publisher agreement with publisher Sega to bring physical edition of the game to Japan and the rest of Asia. Enotria: The Last Song will also be present at the Sega/Atlus booth at Tokyo Game Show 2024.

Enotria: The Last Song will be out on September 19 for PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). It’s also coming to Xbox Series X|S, though at a later date as the developer had issues on getting direct support, which has now been resolved.
