Tchia, the indie open-world adventure game about island adventures and Super Mario Odyssey-style object possession powers, got a new trailer showcased at The Game Awards today.
Developed by Awaceb (part of the new publishing group Kepler Interactive), Tchia showcases more of its soul-jumping mechanic as the game calls it. It’s a power that Tchia, our namesake heroine has. This allows players to jump into controlling other animals, from birds to fishes.
Not only that, Tchia can soul-jump into inanimate objects like lanterns.
Soul-jumping, alongside the many other traversal options Tchia can use will open up more exploration opportunities, and just good old silly fun.
Also, more instances of the fully-playable Ukelele, which will undoubtedly spawn many YouTube videos of song covers.
Just like its previous trailer, Tchia will remind you a little bit of Legend Of Zelda with its open-world adventure, but with a tale inspired by the small island country of New Caledonia.
Tchia will be coming to PS4, PS5 and PC sometime in Spring (Q2) 2022.
