Kepler Interactive Is A New Publisher Co-Owned By Developers

A group of indie devs have announced to band together under a new “super-developer” group called Kepler Interactive.

Kepler Interactive is a new publisher co-owned and operated by a group of indie developers. The group consists of seven founding members, which are:

  • A44
  • Alpha Channel
  • Awaceb
  • Ebb Software
  • Shapefarm
  • Sloclap
  • Timberline

Kepler has already raised $120M USD in its first round of financing.

The executive team behind Kepler had experience running Kowloon Nights, a funding group that has raised over $100M USD for a variety of indie games.

“When we founded Kowloon Nights, our goal was to support the next generation of independent developers,” said Alexis Garavaryan, CEO of Kepler Interactive. “The evolution of that work is now Kepler, which takes the developer‑first approach a major leap forward in terms of scale and empowerment.”

Kepler Interactive will continue to expand by adding more partner studios, as well as expanding beyond video games such as films.

Kepler’s founding studios look like a strong bunch, as it includes teams that are currently developing Sifu, Scorn, Tchia and Tankhead. All promising looking indie games.
