NBA 2K22 To Feature A Female Athlete Cover Star For The First Time

2K and Visual Concepts has officially unveiled the latest installment to the long running NBA basketball series, NBA 2K22. Like it’s football rivals, it’s also selling the past-generation versions of the game, with the ability to purchase the current-gen version for a fee.

The current gen version features increase crowd count and court-side entrance (which already featured in this year’s game), so one new thing to get excited for is the seasonal cover star, which is Dallas Maverick’s Luka Dončić.

But interestingly, 2K also announced their first female athlete cover star in the form of Chicago Sky’s Candace Parker. That version is part of the exclusive WNBA version of the game that’s only releasing for US Retailer, Gamestop.

Why is it limited to one retailer, no one but 2k Marketing knows.

In any case, NBA 2K22 releases all PlayStation and Xbox consoles, along with PC and Nintendo Switch this September 10.
