Here’s something cool: a multiplayer combat game but, unlike For Honor, you get to jump around and move really fast. Naraka: Bladepoint is developed by Chinese developer team 24 Entertainment- with staff coming from around the world.
Unveiled at The Game Awards 2019, Naraka is all about close-range combat. And it looks kind of like a character action game in this regard. There are block and parry mechanics, but there is no block or a defence button. While that sounds probably complicated, the developers are saying that the overall combat system should be “sophisticated yet beginner-friendly”.
Also, the movement looks fun. You can jump, grab and hang on ledges. And there’s a grappling hook that should open up more mobility options.
Plus, the world of Morus- the game’s setting- is beautiful, inspired by East Asia art.
Naraka: Bladepoint will arrive sometime in 2020, and will at least be out on PC via Steam.
