MotoGP 20, the official game for the MotoGP series, is out now.
The 2020 edition is out earlier than the usual June release window of previous year, but still packed with new features.
There is a new Career Mode that lets you make a new team and create your own custom bike, helmet, racing number, lower-back patch (yes the logo emblazen on that part of the body) and stickers. Managing your team staff and finance will affect your bike performance and potential for good results on track.
The game even includes the winter and mid-season tests for a chance to develop your bike, mirroring how a real-life MotoGP season works.
Interestingly, not all of the race classes will be fully up-to-date on launch. Due to the current global pandemic, which caused the postponement of the real-life MotoGP season, various content based on the race classes will be added as free updates.
Here’s the roadmap for the content rollout:
- May (beginning): MotoGP 2020 season
- May (end): Moto2 2020 season, Moto3 2020 season, Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup class addition
- June: MotoE class addition
On the physics side, expect an improvement on several systems like fuel management, tyre wear that affects asymmetrically, and aerodynamic bike damage that affect performance and how it looks.
MotoGP 20 also has the historical mode, a better neural-network-powered AI, and dedicated servers for multiplayer mode. Developer Milestone, alongside MotoGP promoter Dorna, have confirmed that there will be the 4th edition of the MotoGP eSport Championship happening this year.
MotoGP 20 is out now on PS4 (including PS Store Asia), PC (Steam, for RM80), Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.
