Announced at the September 2021 Nintendo Direct is a new Kirby. A new Kirby game in 3D.
Kirby And The Forgotten Land sees the loveable puffball that can gobble up almost anything stranded in a mysterious world from a past civilisation. Only this past civilisation seems more or less a world we would very much recognise. There are dead malls and abandoned cities filled with overgrown greenery. Yet for a post-apocalypse setting, it looks all cheery.
Kirby will have to travel across 3D levels, which from the trailer looks to use a fixed camera that you are not in control of. Kirby can still do the suck, and copy enemies’ attacks to explore the world, or attack back the enemies. Expect big bosses to take down.
Kirby And The Forgotten Land will be out in Spring (Q2) 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.
