A new update is now available for EA’s life sim game The Sims 4. As promised, infants are now added to the game.
Serving as the next stage after babies (now referred to as Newborns) and Toddlers, Infants are young Sims your Sims family can have. Infants can be customised in Create-A-Sim with six new traits. All Sims can socialise with an Infant, and they can crawl around.
The update also adds various new furniture and decor options. New Cribs, including a Travel Crib, is added. There are also Cribs that can be upgraded into a Toddler beds. Baby locks and baby fences can be placed as well.
As a result of Infants existing, the Newborn stage of life is much shorter. Children and Toddlers can now interact with a Newborn, and these babies now have matching skin tones, correct eye colours and other adjustments to their appearance.
Also, Sims can also have a Science Baby, done through the phone, to platonically have a baby with another Sim.
This is a free update, now live on all platforms. This update comes ahead of the upcoming release of the Growing Together expansion, releasing later this week.
