Passion Republic Games’ arena-brawler GigaBash gets a new trailer at Tokyo Game Show 2021. And it’s showcasing more of the previously teased Story Mode.
Story Mode will consist of 4 campaigns, with Gorogong, Pipijuras, Woolley, and Thundatross playable.
You can expect a linear experience that fleshes out the character’s backstory and personality, a fun story, as well as hand-crafted scenarios and bonus challenges different from what you expect from a normal match. Plus, there’s some good looking 2D artwork being used here as well.
“We hope each story brings a different flavour to the game,” said GigaBash co-director, Mel Law. “We wanted to expand on GigaBash’s world and its colourful characters while offering more avenues of enjoyment for our fans.”
GigaBash is an arena brawler where kaijus, big mechas and supersized superheroes beat each other up in various maps, all with destructible scenery. Think War Of The Monsters by way of Power Stone and Smash Bros. and you’re not far off. This is the debut game from the Malaysian-based developers.
GigaBash is set for release in early 2022 for the PS4 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store)
