Open-world action game Forspoken, by Luminous Productions (a new team made of various personnel behind Final Fantasy XV) and Square Enix, now has a release date.
Announced at The Game Awards today, the game featuring the isekai adventures of Frey Holland (played by Ella Balinska) into the fantasy world of Athia also showcased a new trailer.
The new trailer shows off the ruthless Tanta Prav, played by actor Pollyanna McIntosh. And also shows off the many magical powers Frey can use. Invisibility magic, a waterboard for surfboarding. Fire staff and spear for melee. And more. Expect “magic parkour” with the amount of mobility options available.
The world of Athia (which is also Fprspken’s codename prior to its name reveal) is also suffering from a corruption called the Break.
Forspoken will be coming to PS5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store) on May 24, 2022. Pre-order is now open, but PC players need to ready up the wallet- it is priced at the next-gen standard price of RM299 (the MYR equivalent of $70 USD).
