Forspoken Delayed To October 11

Square Enix and Luminous Productions’ upcoming game and new IP Forspoken has been delayed to later this October.

Story DLC for the game, “In Tanta We Trust”, has also been pushed back, now targeting a release in Spring 2023.

The game was originally set for a release on May 24.

“Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us,” the delay announcement reads, as posted on Twitter.

“To that end, during the next few months we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can’t wait for you to experience Frey’s journey this fall.”

The isekai adventures of Frey into the world of Athia will now be one of the big games to populate the usual fall season of video game releases.

Originally announced for the PS5, Forspoken will also be releasing on PC on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. However, like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade before it, Forspoken will be released with a next-gen price tag of $70 USD (RM299 for Malaysia) including on PC.
