At EVO Japan 2024, Capcom finally revealed gameplay for Street Fighter 6’s upcoming DLC character Akuma.
A fan-favourite, and the fourth and final DLC character for Year 1 of Street Fighter 6, the master of Satsui No Hado is has now aged into looking even more menacing than before with his whited-out hair.
The trailer gives a good look of his moveset, a shoto character but with so, so many tricky moves including divekicks and diagonal fireballs. His entry to SF6 includes the new stage Enma’s Hallow.
Akuma and his new stage are paid DLC.
Like all previous DLC characters, expect Akuma to appear in all three core modes in Street Fighter 6: World Tour (Story Mode), Battle Hub (Online lobby) and Fighting Ground.
Akuma arrives in Street Fighter 6 on May 22, alongside a balance patch. SF6 is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
