For Honor looked promising, but has been underwhelming so far. Yet Ubisoft is still putting in work to make the melee fighter better. It was announced a few months back it will move away from the peer-to-peer network system which is rife with issues to a proper network with dedicated servers.
This in theory should help reduce the many dodgy netcode the game is suffering, a bad thing considering it is mostly an online-only multiplayer title. Ubisoft is having an open beta, free for everyone to try the game again. All characters, including DLC ones, can be unlocked by just 1 Steel, so you can try out all the multiplayer with all the characters. Duel, Dominion, and Tribute modes are available to play.
Progress will not be carried over, but beta testers will earn exclusive emblems and other rewards for participating.
The Open Test, as it is called, is now available on PS4 (link here), PC (via Steam or Uplay), and Xbox One. The servers will be up on December 14, 1PM UTC (9PM Malaysian time, +8 GMT) until December 18, 1AM UTC (9AM Malaysian time).
