EVO 2019: Soul Calibur VI Season Pass Gets Cassandra, Season Pass 2 Gets Haohmaru From Samurai Shodown

Can't escape from the stage of history

At EVO 2019, Bandai Namco has revealed one last character for Soul Calibur VI’s Season Pass 1. The next DLC character is Cassandra.

Debuted in Soul Calibur II and is the sister to Sophitia, Cassandra is a bit more free-spirited of the two. And her moveset on show in the trailer here sure shows that:

The Cassandra DLC is available starting today.

In addition, Bandai Namco has announced that there will be a Season Pass 2. Four new characters (comapred to six in Season 1) will be added, one of which is a guest character: Haohmaru from Samurai Shodown.

Considering that the new Samurai Shodown is doing well, it’s nice to see two weapon-based fighting games crossing over. This is the third guest character following Geralt from The Witcher III and Nier Automata’s 2B.

There’s no in-game footage of how the Samsho poster looks in Soul Calibur VI just yet.

Alongside the Season Pass 2 will be an all-new system or mechanic to be added in the fighting game. Details of what it is have yet to be disclosed.

There’s not much info on Season Pass 2, but the fact that it’s getting one shows that Soul Calibur VI still has legs and a playerbase that continues to support it.
