Good news for those that are in Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines and Vietnam that uses EA’s PC client Origin. Regional currency is now added to these countries.
All prices listed on the Origin Store will now be of your local currency- like MYR for Malaysia.
Judging on the Malaysian Ringgit pricing of the games and services on Origin to Steam (which already uses regional pricing). Full-price AAA games like Need For Speed Heat are RM249. All of The Sims 4 (and its insurmountable amount of DLC- with more just added today) are also consistent with Steam’s listing.

The subscription service is also offered at the same price – a starter price of RM3.40 (limited time offer) or RM17 per month orRM99 per year regular price. The higher tier EA Play Pro (with access to EA’s latest releases as soon as it launches) starts at RM59 per month orRM409 per year.
This is good news for more Southeast Asian players. Not only that we can stop looking at the currency exchange rate and still pray that it isn’t that more expensive than it suggests, but it also means that EA cared enough about its customers (and potential customers) in this region. We’re visible!
Ubisoft have added local regional pricing for its Ubisoft Connect launcher for a while. Steam has obviously been doing this for ages. Now, all that is left of the major PC client launchers are Epic Games Store (which have plans to do so sometime this year) and GOG to support more local currency here in Southeast Asia.
