Dying Light 2, the sequel to the open-world parkour game with zombies, looks to be an ambitious one. Its biggest feature is that it will be an RPG with choices that change the world state, from befriending or make enemies of different factions to opening chunks of open-world regions for making some choices.
Unfortunately, like almost every game slated for a 2020 release, Dying Light 2 is delayed.
Here’s the message from Techland CEO, Pawel Marchewka, on the matter:
“We were initially aiming for a Spring 2020 release with Dying Light 2, but unfortunately we need more development time to fulfill our vision. We will have more details to share in the coming months, and will get back to you as soon as we have more information.
“We apologise for this unwelcome news.
“Our priority is to deliver an experience that lives up to our own high standards and to the expectations of you, our fans.”

A game delay is understandable. But for Dying Light 2, we don’t even have a release window to work with. So if this gets even further delayed to 2021 and accommodate the PS5 and Xbox, we won’t be surprised.
In other news, there is another Polish developer that’s delaying their highly anticipated game as well.
