Dragon Ball FighterZ Surpassed Most Concurrent Users Record For Fighting Games On Steam

It’s good that many games right now are multi-platform, but there will always be a bias on where most of the community play a certain game. Fighting games for example always found its home on consoles, thanks to most tournament scenes using console setups.

So to see newly released Dragon Ball FighterZ doing really well on its first week of launch on PC is astonishing.

As reported by PCGamesN, DBFZ has recorded up to 44,298 concurrent players on Steam. The biggest fighting game on Steam beforehand, the rather excellent Tekken 7, peaked at 18,766 players. Street Fighter V and Mortal Kombat X surpassed the 10,000 concurrent player count, with other titles only managed to have less than 6,000 at its peak.

At least on PC, Dragon Ball FigtherZ is doing rather well. Arc System Works’ brand of style mixed in with a huge dose of reverence to the series plus a very accessible gameplay sure is enough to lure that many players. Hopefully, the peak numbers will keep on increasing throughout the year.
