Devolver Digital is back again with their clever and unhinged announcement videos. The indie publishing label has officially confirmed three games being delayed into 2025.
But instead of a new Delay Direct, Devolver is lampooning the awards season in the “15th Annual Devolver Delayed Awards 2024”.
The 5-minute video reveals the three delayed games, Skate Story, Baby Steps and Stick It To The Stickman, as awards winners for hyper-specific award categories, featuring a handful of fake games that could/should be real.
Skate Story has featured twice in Devolver Digital’s seemingly annual delay announcement shows.
And somehow, the video even sneaked in a sizzle reel ad, presented as a moment to honour the games that are out now and thus cannot be ever delayed. Rather appropo.
