Deathloop Delayed To Q2 2021

Deathloop, Arkane’s next game about time loop and a playable nemesis, has been delayed to Q2 2021.

The PS5 console exclusive was expected to launch in holiday 2020, around the launch window for the next-gen console. Looks like that isn’t happening, and it’s now set for sometime in the mid-2021 instead.

“As we’ve adjusted to work-from-home, we found that delivering this new and exciting experience, at the polish and quality level that defines both an Arkane game and a true next-gen experience, is taking longer than normal,” the statement reads.

Plenty of games have been delayed due to the effects of the pandemic that’s still ongoing. An understandable one for sure.

In Deathloop, you play as Colt, who is stuck in the island of Blackreef and can only escape the island (and the infinite time loop) by successfully killing 8 different targets. One of those targets, Julianna, will hunt you down to ensure you don’t succeed, and this character can be another player.

Deathloop is now coming to PS5 and PC in Q2 2021.
