EA Play, Electronic Arts’ monthly subscription service is offering a deal for new subscribers until March 9 (or March 10 for Asia) on Steam.
For the first month, you can get access to EA Play for only RM3.40. That’s nearly the price of large bread loaf in Malaysia. In other word: really, really cheap.
EA Play on Steam gives you unlimited access to a bunch of EA games that are part of what they call the Play List. Big titles that are in the Play List includes Need For Speed Heat, Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, The Sims 4 and Battlefield 1.
Note that bigger titles like FIFA 21, Madden 21 and Star Wars Squadrons are only limited to 10 hours playtime, they are part of the more-expensive EA Play Pro which gives unlimited access to these titles and the rest of the Play List.
Also note that the intro price is only for the first month. The next month, you’ll be charged the regular subscription price of RM17 (but you can cancel at any time). Still relatively cheap, but EA’s catalogue isn’t that much to offer, especially on Steam. EA Play on Origin has a bit more games from third-party publishers (but don’t support Ringgit Malaysia- you will be charged in Singapore Dollars over there).
Still, now that you are well-aware of the caveats, and the library of games on offer is appealing to you for the intro subscription price, give EA Play on Steam a go here.
