EA Play, the newly rebranded game subscription service by EA, is now live on Steam.
For RM17 a month, or RM99 a year, you’ll get access to a bunch of EA games, including big titles like Need For Speed Heat, and get access to EA games early like FIFA 21.
Unlike the Origin version, EA Play on Steam’s list of games are strictly games by EA. The Origin version includes other games not published by EA but is on the Origin store. So the Steam version is more in common to what’s on offer on PS4 and Xbox One.
Another interesting point about EA Play on Steam is it’s cheaper than its PS4 counterpart. EA Play on PS4 costs RM20 a month and RM105 a year to subscribe.
If you only wanted access to games by EA for a short period of time and not willing to splurge paying full price on launch, EA Play is a tremendously good value. But as a long-running subscription? Given the strength of the publisher’s library right now, maybe not so much.
