Capcom has announced and teased a new remaster of Dead Rising. Titled Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, this is the 2006 original game remastered again following the release of a HD Remaster in 2016 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
The teaser shows the opening cinematic of protagonist, the photo-journalist Frank West, arriving at the shopping mall infested with zombies via helicopter.
Dead Rising is different take on survival horror as players are able to roam through a large shopping mall filled with zombies. It has a huge map (the size of a shopping mall to be exact), the ability to use various household items as weapons, huge swarms of zombies and the most scariest of all features, a timer. You have three in-game days to clear the story, and there’s a lot of time sensitive events.
More of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, or DRDR for short, will be revealed in an upcoming Capcom Next livestream, going live on July 2, 6 AM Malaysia Time (+8 GMT).
Alongside Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, the stream will also show more of the upcoming game Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess as well a Resident Evil VII for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
There will be no news about any other games outside of the three mentioned games in this livestream.
