Cloud Imperium Games Brings Another Developer To Help Make Star Citizen’s Multiplayer Mode

Cloud Imperium Games announced that they are partnering with developer Firesprite to help make Star Citizen’s multiplayer mode: Theatres Of War.

This PVP mode was revealed back at CitizenCon 2019 (Star Citizen’s own convention). This mode will see “intense, large-scale, team-based skirmishes between attackers and defenders across multiple phases of combat on planetary surfaces, in upper atmosphere, and a final orbital assault on a space station”.

Firesprite apparently has been working with Cloud Imperium Games since 2019, though this is the first time the partnership has been made public. The work made in this mode will help in making the rest of the still-in-development space sim better.

It will still be a long, long, long while until Star Citizen, its single-player story mode Squadron 42, and this multiplayer mode Theatres Of War, will be completed. But hey, progress is being made.
