Cities: Skylines 2 Releasing This October

Cities: Skylines 2, the follow-up to Colossal Order’s highly-successful city-builder, got a new trailer revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023.

The new trailer shows a familiar, yet very much improved take on Cities: Skylines. The graphical style has more realism to it.

There’s also plenty of what was content added post-launch or through paid expansions are now rolled into the base game of the sequel. Modular buildings, trams, transit hubs, dynamic time and weather are now in base game Cities: Skylines 2.

Yet despite all of that, most of the gameplay remains faithful to the original. You still will be zoning land, building power plants, and monitoring data like pollution and traffic to ensure the small town can continue to grow into a bustling metropolis of your design.

Cities: Skylines 2 will be available on October 24 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass at launch.
