Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 For PC Will Be Exclusive On Battle.net

The second non-Blizzard title to join the platform

Call Of Duty has been traditionally released on PC to all kinds of platforms, with mixed reception. There were no dedicated servers, the community is split across the platforms (like the issue that plagued Infinite Warfare two years back) and other issues. With the success of Destiny 2 on PC exclusively on Blizzard’s Battle.net platform, Activision is following it up by bringing the latest Call Of Duty game there as well.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 for PC will not be available on Steam, Windows Store or any other platform outside of Battle.net.

Expect to see all of Battle.net’s social features to be integrated. It is promised that Black Ops 4 will have uncapped framerates, support for ultrawide monitors, up to 4K resolution and HDR.

It is interesting to see that the release of Destiny 2 on Battle.net is not just a one-off. Now we can expect to see more Activision games, in particular multiplayer titles, to be out on Blizzard’s platform- which makes sense since they are basically living under one roof as part of Activision-Blizzard.

Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 will be out on October 26th on PC as well as PS4 and Xbox One.
