Viking-themed RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has revealed what’s in store for the game post-launch. Similar to the previous title Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there will be paid DLC as well as free content for all players.
In Spring 2021, the first DLC expansion, Wrath Of The Druids will arrive. This will take protagonist Eivor to a journey in Ireland, discovering an ancient druid cult. This also includes the town of Dublin, as it was back in the Dark Ages.
In Summer 2021, the second DLC expansion, The Siege Of Paris, will be out. You will be visiting Francia, which is at war. A new replayable activity will be added, having you taking out elite units of Charles The Fat. You will also be able to “conquer Paris from within”.
The two expansions, plus The Legend Of Beowulf exclusive mission are part of the season pass, included in the Gold and Ultimate edition of the game.
If you prefer not to spend extra money on a game too soon (which is reasonable), there will be free updates too. This includes new events (like the Yale Festival coming in late 2020) and new game modes (like river raids).
Finally, there will also be a Discovery Tour for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This is an educational mode where all the combat is removed and you can explore the open world while learning actual historical facts.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches on November 10 for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia. It will arrive on PS5 on November 12.
