Among Us Roadmap Reveals New Modes And Roles Are Coming

There are still Among Us players among us and indie devs Innersloth are working hard on adding new stuff to the multiplayer social deduction/engineering game.

The team revealed a roadmap of what’s to come at Summer Game Fest’s opening broadcast. Some are coming in the next update, some will arrive later and are still being worked on.

First, the next update will add 15 player support (up from the current max of 10), new colours (Rose, Gray, Tan and more) and mobile controller support. There is more coming with the update and details of that will be shared soon.

As for the longer-term additions that won’t come just yet, Among Us will be introducing new roles outside of just Crewmate and Imposter. Making it more like the various werewolf party games. There’s also a new mode: Hide n’ Seek, and the fifth map following The Airship is in the works.

For those that are still hooked to the well-executed murder-your-friends-and-blame-another-for-it sim (and scarred from the extremely cursed picture of Jerma Sus), there’s more things to come.

Among Us is out now on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch and mobile (iOS, Android), and coming to PlayStation and Xbox soon.
