If you are in any way familiar with Chilean developers Ace Team, you know how wild and trippy their video games can be, either gameplay-wise or in visual design.
The team’s next game, Clash: Artifacts Of Chaos, sees the team going back to its more trippy, otherworldly aesthetic. A combination of bright colours and wild-looking character and world design.
In Clash, you play as Pseudo in the world of Zenozoik – the same world of Zeno Clash. You are a warrior in a quest to obtain the Artefact of Chaos.
The game features unarmed combat, both in third-person and first-person. Pseudo can pull a shoryuken-style uppercut, and you can see him sporting weapons on his back as well.
Clash looks like it is a spiritual successor to the Zeno Clash series, but published by Nacon. With its trippy (and beautiful) art style matching the wonderfully weird world (that shares the same name), maybe it is.
Clash: Artifacts Of Chaos will be coming out in June 2022 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
