King Of The Castle, the online multiplayer party game where up to 3000 players can join without having to purchase their own copy, is out now.
King Of The Castle utilises the multiplayer party game format of the many JackBox games, where only one person is required to own the game, while the rest can connect via a web browser or mobile device using a unique access code. So long as all the players can see the host’s game screen, be it from playing locally together or through a stream, anyone can join in.
For intimate sessions with friends and family, the game requires 3-24 players. There’s also a “Twitch Mode” that bumps the player count to a maximum of 3000 players, and any of the viewers of the stream can play as the Nobles straight from Twitch chat, rather than having to connect with a code.
In King Of The Castle, the host becomes the Monarch, while the rest are part of the Council of Nobles hailing from five different regions. There will be a storyline unfolding and the Monarch and the Nobles can either work together to resolve the many conflicts or be the conflict that threatens the Monarch and kingdom. Expect political intrigue to play a part in this party game.
King Of The Castle is out now on PC via Steam.
