Microsoft has announced that its monthly games subscription service Xbox Game Pass has surpassed 25 million subscribers.
It shared this milestone alongside the big news of the company acquiring Activision Blizzard for nearly $70 million USD.
This is a big increase since its last publicly reported number,18 million, back in January 2021.
With the Activision Blizzard purchase, Microsoft will be further expanding the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass catalogue to feature games from the publisher, which includes the likes of Call of Duty, Warcraft, Candy Crush, Tony Hawk, Diablo, Overwatch, Spyro, Hearthstone, Guitar Hero, Crash Bandicoot, StarCraft and more.
Recently, Xbox head (now Microsoft Gaming CEO) Phil Spencer has said that Game Pass won’t be replacing normal game purchases anytime soon, but it sure is showing that having access to a buttload of video games, some you won’t even ever buy or try if it was not on Game Pass, is a really good deal.
Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass has yet to be made available in Southeast Asia outside of Singapore.
