Microsoft has confirmed a bit more details for those hungry for next-gen news. They will be dedicating a monthly update on all things next-gen, including details of Xbox Series X, the first-party Xbox Game Studios, the Xbox Game Pass subscription, and their still-in-development game streaming platform- Project xCloud. This will fall under the new Xbox 20/20 banner.
The first of these will come this week. For May’s Xbox 20/20 update, it will come alongside the regular Inside Xbox video showcase. Expect to see gameplay of various games running on Xbox Series X, including the newly announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Expect also some more games that will utilise Smart Delivery- where you only need to buy one time to own it on Xbox One and Xbox Series X (and downloads the correct version for your console). Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the first 3rd-party games to make use of this feature.
Also, expect to see games tagged with Xbox Series X Optimized- games that make full use of the next-gen console’s specific features like hardware-based DirectX raytracing, fast load times and more.
The Xbox Wire post also hints of what’s to come. In July, Xbox 20/20 will devote its time to showcase what the first-party developers are working on, including game reveals.
The first Xbox 20/20 block will be part of the upcoming Inside Xbox on May 7th, 8AM PDT (11PM Malaysian Time, +8 GMT) on Xbox’s Mixer, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
