Wolfenstein: Youngblood Will Have RTX Support, Buy Selected RTX GPUs And Get The Game For Free

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is getting Nvidia RTX support. The next entry to the reinvigorated Wolfenstein series will see the game getting ray-tracing support, joining the list of small, but definitely growing, list of games with the fancy new lighting tech.

Starting May 28th, buying an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2080, 2070 or 2060 GPU, either for desktop PCs or laptops, will net you a free copy of the game, while stocks last. This applies too for Asia.

Aside from ray-tracing, Wolfenstein: Youngblood will see the use of Nvidia Adaptive Shading, an “advanced shading technique that enables developers to improve performance and achieve a real-time visual fidelity previously impossible in games.”

Essentially, this will help keep the framerates stable with some behind-the-scenes optimisations. Though how much performance gain is yet to be seen.

So if you are looking to find a good reason on getting an RTX card, maybe the upcoming co-op FPS should do the trick. It’s a similar offer Nvidia had done in the past for other RTX games.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be out on July 26th for PC. It will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
