File this under the “announcement of an announcement” tag. Valve is going to show off a new Half-Life game. A new Half-Life VR game.
Rumours were swirling about Valve revealing a new Half-Life VR game, but now it has been confirmed. That game, Half-Life: Alyx, will be revealed this Thursday at 10AM Pacific Time (Friday 2AM Malaysian Time, +8GMT).

As the title suggests, we might be seeing Gordon Freeman’s reliable companion Alyx Vance back again since Half-Life 2: Episode 2. What will this VR game entail, we have no idea for now. But this is being labeled as Valve’s “Flagship VR game”.
We don’t see Valve as a games maker these day thanks to Steam, though they have done many games, and even bought companies like Firewatch makers Campo Santo. But to hear them making another Half-Life game, even if it is a VR title, should make a few fans excited again.
