Forza Horizon 4 continues to add free new cars in its Series updates, but next month is something big: they are bringing back Toyotas.
Toyota was not absolutely absent from the game, there is a Toyota Hilux in there, but the many sports car racing game fans identify with the Japanese marque was sorely absent. But with Series 17, that will change.
At the end of the Series 16 Update live stream, Playground Games dropped the bombshell in its “one more thing” announcement at the end.
As clarified on Twitter, the first of possibly more Toyotas is the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ. It’s the Mark IV Supra we all know and love, or that car in The Fast In The Furious.
Forza and Toyota have joined forces once again! It all starts on December 12th when #ForzaHorizon4 players can get behind the wheel of the 1998 Toyota Supra RZ as a part of the Series 17 update. pic.twitter.com/7WhGjIqsys

Toyota, in general, has been pretty much absent in the recent crops of racing games. Forza Motorsport 7, alongside Forza Horizon 4, has limited car selection with many missing from previous games. Need For Speed also lost all their Toyotas after 2015. The most prominent appearance of Toyota car these days is in Gran Turismo Sport, which the new 2019 Supra, and its GT3 racing spec version, debuted in video game form with the company being an official partner.
This is still good news for Forza fans. Recently Forza Horizon 4 added back Mitsubishi for everyone as free DLC, and now, JDM fans have Toyota cars again.
