Ahead of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 launch, Activision has teamed up with Spotify to create an official playlist for the upcoming remake’s soundtrack.
The two-in-one remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 will have a mix of nostalgic hits as fans remembered from the two games’ soundtrack, as well as new tunes that captures the modern vibes of skate culture.
New tunes here doesn’t necessarily mean “new” as in released recently. Alice In Chains’ Them Bones is a classic alt-rock banger that would’ve fit a Tony Hawk game way back then, but it never got featured until now. You probably remember this song on GTA San Andreas’ soundtrack, if you were gaming during the time the original THPS games were the new hotness.
At the time of writing, the playlist is only 20 songs long, and that’s intentional. The playlist will be evolved and updated over time to reveal more music, old and new, that will be featured in the new old skateboarding game. Fingers crossed that there are more of the songs from the original games make it to the list, in the next waves of reveals.
