Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Surpasses 1 Million Copies Sold

See, there is an appetite for a good skateboarding game, or a remaster of a classic that is.

Activision announced that the sales for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has surpassed one million copies. The remaster/faithful remake is now the fastest game in the franchise to reach that 1 million copy of sales milestone.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 brings back the first two games Neversoft created that sparked a phenomenon, and also reinvigorates skate culture to the mainstream.

Many of the assets have been recreated, including all the pro skaters from the original photo-scanned for the game. Which is why Tony and the rest of the crew are all old. They are growing older all the time. Most of the soundtrack are in tact too.

The game also brought in mechanics that were not in the original two games, but became core part of the arcade skateboarding series like reverts. The current generation of promising pro skaters, with diverse backgrounds, join the OGs as playable skaters. And that already good soundtrack is bolstered with even more music selection.

Suffice to say, it’s one of those good Activision remasters, and they are on a role too. From Crash N. Sane Trilogy to Spyro Reignited Trilogy, and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, the publisher is on a role with bringing back classics and doing them justice.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is out now on the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store) and Xbox One.
