If you’ve been spending time playing Cyberpunk 2077, you might have found that the vehicle handling physics is off. Cars and bikes are so tail-happy that the slight tap of a steer in high speeds will lose you all grip and start uncontrollably sliding.
If you’re on PC, there’s a mod available that improves on the vehicle handling to make it more tolerable. The Better Vehicle Handling mod by CalinZ2 over on Nexus Mods uses an .ini config file which tweaks the vehicle handling physics. Cars and bike are less prone to sliding uncontrollably.
You can download it here (you’ll need a Nexus Mod account to download) and try it yourself. Just extract the file and place it in your Cyberpunk 2077 install path and you’ll be good to go.
Cyberpunk 2077 has much more glaring technical issues to fix- like its performance on base PS4 and Xbox One. But until the first major patches for Cyberpunk hits in January, this mod should make driving around Night City more bearable for PC players. The nature of how simple the mod is should allude to a more permanent fix being possible later down the line.
