Here’s The Soundtrack List For Forza Horizon 6 (So Far)

Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold and ready for release later this month, at least for Xbox and PC, the PS5 port still has no release date.

To celebrate the announcement, the Forza website partially revealed a list of songs that will be part of the upcoming open world racing game.

Like past games, the soundtrack of Forza Horizon 6 is split into various radio stations, each with their own DJ that provide commentary on the state of the world in-between songs. The radio stations themselves are themed around songs of a similar vibe, with a wide catch of sometimes overlapping music genres.

Mainstay radio stations from Forza Horizon’s past return to Forza Horizon 6 including Horizon Pulse (the latest pop music), Horizon Bass Arena (EDM and other electronic music), Horizon Block Party (hip-hop, RNB, dance), Horizon XS (alternative, rock) and Hospital Records (drum n bass, based on a real drum n bass record label).

Interestingly, Horizon Wave, added post-launch in Forza Horizon 5, is now a base game addition, which one should expect to be the home of the modern throwback music genre that is synthwave. Meanwhile, the radio station that hosts the classical (and presumably safe-for-streamers) music gets another rename, now called Horizon Opus.

Two new radio stations will be introduced in Forza Horizon 6: Gacha City Radio and Sub Pop Records. The latter seems to be based on the real record label of the same name which publishes indie music, while the former is a dedicated radio station for all things J-Pop and music made in Japan.

At the time of writing, two of the radio stations have its songs revealed, and it’s quite the selection. Horizon XS has established names from the past two decades like Rise Against, Biffy Clyro, Coheed and Cambria and even Linkin Park share the playlist with the likes of Band-Maid (the Japanese all-women rock band with the visuals inspired by maid cafes), Babymetal (the Japanese all-women heavy metal band that juxtaposes cute visuals with screamo) and One OK Rock.

Expect the rest of the Forza Horizon 6 soundtrack to have representation from Japanese acts and music that fits the new setting. Crafty folks on Reddit have found the rest of the list of songs through finding the Spotify playlist. But as we’ve compared the list of tracks from the post on the Forza site, there are a few as-of-now unreleased songs, so it’s likely there will be a few more additions when the full soundtrack gets officially unveiled.
