The Witcher is getting its own Pokemon Go-like. Called The Witcher: Monster Slayer, it’s a location-based RPG for iOS and Android devices developed by Spokko.
Spokko is developer under the CD Projekt Captital Group, of which CD Projekt RED is a part of.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer promises “console-grade visuals” as players go out and hunt monsters. Just like what a Witcher would do, studying the monsters and doing the prep-work (craft potions , oils, bombs and bait) are key in Monster Slayer. Combat will be in the form of first-person AR- so you’ll see the monsters through your mobile device supplanted on top of real-life locations.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer’s release date will be revealed later this year. Though with the current condition of the world where we are still limited in outdoor activities to an ongoing pandemic, maybe it’s fine if it’s not out anytime soon.
