The Sims 4 Urban Homage And Party Essentials Kits Releasing Next Week

Simmers, there will be more content for purchase for The Sims 4 next week. The life simulation game will be getting two new Kits (smaller-scale DLCs, usually adding clothing options for Create-A-Sim Mode or Build Mode items only).

The new Kits are the Urban Homage Kit and the Party Essentials Kit.

The Sims 4 Urban Homage Kit is a Create-A-Sim (CAS) DLC, featuring 29 new items including apparel and accessories. This kit is themed around the London fashion from the 1990s and 2000s. This Kit is created in collaboration with Danielle “Ebonix” Udogaranya, who have made clothing item mods.

Meanwhile, The Sims 4 Party Essentials Kit is a Build Mode DLC containing 27 items all themed around party decorations. It includes a disco ball, a fog machine and a bar.

Kits are the cheapest form of DLC offered in The Sims 4, and have very specific theme and target audience. It’s cool that Simmers can have specific content created which doesn’t need to appeal to a broad audience. But for those just jumping into The Sims 4, the list of purchasable DLCs looks more and more intimidating. The secret to enjoying The Sims 4 these days is to not think that you should own all the DLCs being offered.

The Sims 4 Urban Homage Kit and The Sims 4 Party Essentials Kit DLCs will be available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App), Mac (Origin) Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on April 18. The Sims 4 base game is a free download.
