The Sims 4 has been updated with one noticeable change and one addition.
The Caliente household, featured in the base game, now has been given a refresh. Katrina Caliente, her twin daughters Nina and Dina plus her lover Don Lothario are all sporting new looks and outfits.
Previously, the Goths, another household name in The Sims, were also given a refresh. Both of these refreshes have made the Sims in the households look more diverse, reflecting on The Sims 4 branching out from just being a depiction of a typical American household and portraying people and cultures from around the world.
The changes won’t affect existing saves, but any new save will see the refreshed look being the default.
Fans who prefer the original depiction of the Caliente household can download the “Classic Caliente” household, created by developer Maxis, from the Gallery,
Speaking of that, a new addition added via the Sims Delivery update feature is two new traditional Jewish foods. Sims can now prepare matso ball soup and challah bread.
The Sims 4 has been adding various delicacies from around the world. From the looks of it, the chance to see Roti Canai and Teh Tarik, Malaysian breakfast staples last depicted in a major video game in Final Fantasy XV, is not impossible at this rate.
