So the latest showcase for upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch and 3DS is more solid than the last Direct Mini back in January, unsurprisingly. So let’s go over some of the more anticipated titles for you Nintendo fans.
WarioWare Gold (NIntendo 3DS)
Ah yes, the fast-paced macrogames collection is finally coming to the 3DS and it’s looking solid with over 300 macrogames (one of the biggest collection in this long-running series!), it’s going to be a fun time playing through all this when it arrives this August.
Luigi Mansion (Nintendo 3DS)
Nintendo has remake one of the best Gamecube games onto their 8 year old system and by the looks of it, is using the same mechanics as Dark Moon so it could be interesting. It’s going to be out sometime this year.
Okami HD (Nintendo Switch)
Capcom is porting Okami onto the Nintendo Switch and hopefully, this one doesn’t go as awful as the Wii’s port did but in terms of gameplay, the addition of touchscreen drawing along with the Joycon controls makes this quite a solid edition when it releases sometime this year.
Travis Strikes Again No More Heroes (Nintendo Switch)
We finally get to see some gameplay of Grasshopper Manufacture newest addition to the No More Heroes series and looks just as crazy as it’s past games. Another notable feature is that the controls are so simplified that you can CO-OP with a buddy using the 2nd Joycon. So, it’s going to be a fun solo/coop experience perhaps when the games comes out in a later date this year.
Dark Souls Network Test (Nintendo Switch)
So skeptical Dark Souls fans, a network test demo is coming to Switch and while not much is known besides the release date of May 25, one can guess that the demo will be launching sometime in April to garner hype. So look out for that!
Mario Tennis Aces (Nintendo Switch)
Somehow they made Tennis into a semi-fighting game? And Four-player coop with two Switches and four Joycons with motion controls. Nintendo has made tennis exciting again, just like what they did with Wii Sports Resorts. So look out for this one on.
Super Smash Brothers (Nintendo Switch)
They had to tease those diehard Smash fans with a short but sweet teaser right at the end of the direct. More info is,my guess, coming during E3 in two months time.
And that’s all for this direct, there are some notable stuff like:
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Nintendo Switch and 3DS(?!) coming 13 July.
- Undertale for the Nintendo Switch is coming…eventually
- Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy is coming to the Switch (and PC/XBone as well, mind you) in July 10.
- Complete edition of Little Nightmares sneaks into a May release.
- South Park: Fracture But Whole and it’s two new DLC is landing on the Switch this April.
- Splatoon 2 is now coming up to Ver 3.0 and is releasing a new Paid DLC.
- Japan getting Phantasy Star Online 2 for Switch.
So, what did you guys think? Let us know in the comments! You can also view the Direct here as well!
