The Elder Scrolls: Castles Out Now On Mobile

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is out now on iOS and Android. This is the latest game by Bethesda Game Studios and a spiritual successor to Fallout Shelter.

In The Elder Scrolls: Castles, you build a castle a populate with subjects and a ruler. Every real-time day is a year passed in the game, so leaders can grow old, die (naturally or by other means) and copulate.

On the gameplay side, castle rooms have more customisation options including props and decorations (which have gameplay bonuses). You can also send out subjects on quests, equip them with gear, gain loot from quests and engage in a battle system. It’s deep enough to have a rougelike mode option which offers better rewards.

There’s definitely Fallout Shelter DNA from the looks of it.

To those that have pre-register for The Elder Scrolls: Castles, you will gain the following rewards:

  • 100 gems
  • 1 Blessing of Great Dynasty
  • 1 Legendary Pack
  • 3 Banner Decorations
  • 1 Legendary Subject, Ulfric Stormcloak

It’s good to see Bethesda Game Studios’ mobile games team still making interesting games. It will still be a long, long while until The Elder Scrolls VI will materialise, but if The Elder Scrolls Online (which is still actively supported) is not your thing, hey it’s something.
