Tekken 8 Getting Another Year Of Season Pass, Next DLC Character Is Anna Williams

Looks like, surprising no one, that Tekken 8 is getting another year’s worth of a season pass. This means the 3D fighting game will be adding another four characters as DLC, as per the standard cadence of DLC character rollouts for modern fighting games.

The first of Tekken 8’s Season 2 characters is Anna Williams. Sister to Nina, this marks her second entry to another Tekken game as DLC in Season 2, released right after a Final Fantasy guest character appeared. Funny how this happened again.

Anna has some new moves for Tekken 8. She has a rocket launcher as part of her moveset, just like how more characters (including her sister) having weapons integrated into their moveset in this installment. Anna can do combo strings that ends with a stinger (missile). And she can do bazooka cancels if you rather continue the attack. And is that a rocket jump?

Anna’s new default fit and hair for this entry looks great. And it’s nice that the trailer devoted good screen time of her settling the Williams’ sibling rivalry. Tekken’s story is all about family (members beating up each other and throwing them off cliffs), after all.

Anna will be joining the Tekken 8 roster as paid DLC (she did say you have to pay) on April 4. A new character will join Tekken 8 for every quarter of the year.

The Season 2 Character Pass includes these four characters, while the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass also adds two new stages.

Tekken 8 is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
