Dontnod Entertainment’s Vampyr may have been set back by a delay, but the wait should be over soon. This new trailer focuses on the game’s combat mechanics- which looks like a mix of character action and RPG- as well as some vampire abilities protagonist Dr. Jonathan Reid can acquire.
In Vampyr, you play as a doctor, sworn to protect and save as many lives as he can during a plague in London, but also a vampire, who needs to quench his thirst of blood- which means killing someone.
But Vampyr’s morality system is not about going the path of the doctor or the path of the vampire, you have to drink blood. So the morality options come from picking the target. You can due your due diligence and kill targets that deserve their deaths, but you can just kill and feed on anyone you like. Just remember that it will bring an impact to the particular district, which could led to its collapse.
But hey, you get access to cool-looking vampire abilities. The combat looks like a character action game, which was a genre Dontond has explored in their debut game, Remember Me. Enemies also have indicators reminiscent of the recent God Of War, which is not a bad thing to have.

Vampyr is set to be out on June 5 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
