Kentucky Route Zero is an episodic, surreal adventure game by indie developers Cardboard Computer. Its two episodes were released in 2013, the third in 2014, the fourth in 2016. The final act, after three whole years since the last release and seven years since the original release, will finally be out this month.
But not only that, publisher Annapurna Interactive announced Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, the complete five acts available on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. This was announced two years ago, and will drop on the same day as Act V.
Kentucky Route Zero was revolutionary during the budding times of the indie scene, where its point-and-click adventure gameplay paired with its Lynchian surrealism a fresh breath of air. It’s a unique experience.
Now fans who have caught up with the four acts will finally get their closure.
Kentucky Route Zero: Final Act will be out on January 28th for PC via Steam as a free update. Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, which contains all the five episodes for the first time on consoles, will also be released the same day for PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
