Super Rare Launches New Indie Game Publishing Label

Super Rare Games announced that they are now going to be publishing indie games through its new publishing label, Super Rare Originals.

Super Rare Originals have already signed five upcoming games, all coming to PC (and possibly consoles) in the near future.

It’s quite the selection too. You have the calming 3D puzzle platformer where you play as a tiny lizard in The Gecko Gods (Louis Waloschek), a “short, first-person surreal and cartoony experience” with stretchy appendages and pastel colours in Completely Stretchy (Dan Ferguson), cute pixel-art platformer starring a dog with a grappling hook in the aptly titled Grapple Dog (Medallion Games), a spell-based twin-stick shooter roguelike in Lone Ruin (Cuddle Monster Games) and an arcade FPS with gritty and grimy gore in Post Void (YCJY Games).

As the old cliche goes, there’s something for everyone. And for this selection, it’s in the range of “completely wholesome” to “edgy cool”.

Super Rare Games previously publishes physical copies for indie games in limited amounts (some would say rare, super rare even). It’s good to see more publishers are helping out the smaller indie devs in getting their games out.
