Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Kicks Off With DLC Character Yasmine, Balance Patch And More

Street Fighter 6 enters Year 4 with a big update, which includes the release of the first DLC character of four coming: Yasmine.

Yasmine, the schoolgirl and Karambit user hailing from the Philippines is available in Fighting Grounds (with an Arcade mode story) and Battle Hub. As reported before, there is no World Tour content associated with the upcoming wave of four new fighters, which includes the arrival of Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series.

For those in the Philippines or are able to travel there this weekend, Capcom is hosting a launch party to celebrate the release of Yasmine in her home country.

Street Fighter 6 is also having a limited-time event, a collaboration with Capcom’s Onimusha series. Way Of The Oni X Way Of The Fist limited-time event will kick off on August 7 to 31 which will feature unlockable EX Colour inspired by Onimusha, earned by simply logging in during the event. There are also intruder visuals, titles and avatar equipments. The Battle Hub is also updated with decorations themed around the event.

A new Onimusha game is releasing soon, so the collaboration is no mere coincidence.

New avatar content via Avatar Arcade, reward colours for those ranked Master in ranked matches, and balance adjustments across all characters are also live. You can check out the patch notes for the August 3 update on the balance adjustments here.

Street Fighter 6 is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
