The official Street Fighter 6 Yasmine community event will also be livestreamed globally, for those who can’t make it to the event, to go live on Capcom Asia’s YouTube and regional partner Enduin Games’ YouTube channels.

There will be special guests that are attending the event, so watch this space for more details, including how to register. Space is limited.

This isn’t the first time this year Capcom engaging with its fans in Southeast Asia, the first being the launch party in Indonesia for Resident Evil Requiem. Fellow Japan-based game publishers Bandai Namco and Sega are also increasing efforts in making their presence in the region.

Yasmine is the first Filipina to join the Street Fighter roster, but the series has had Southeast Asian representation ever since Street Fighter II thanks to the larger-than-life Thai kickboxer Sagat. More recently, there’s a Street Fighter V stage set in Malaysia, Kanzuki Beach, but it’s more known for being banned in tournaments due to the ground-obscuring sea waves rather than as a SEA representation.

Yasmine, the demure high-schooler that’s ready to cut up opponents when she ties her hair up, will drop into Street Fighter 6 on August 3, alongside a balance patch. Street Fighter 6 is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2.
