Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Releasing In June On Multiple Platforms

Finally, there’s a new version of the Nintendo Switch-exclusive Shin Megami Tensei V that’s coming to multiple platforms.

Announced at the Nintendo Direct Partners Showcase February 2024, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is the definitive edition of SMT V, containing the original story, Canon Of Creation, plus a new story branch, Canon Of Vengeance.

Midway through Canon Of Creation, you can choose to follow the Canon Of Vengeance storyline.

SMT V: Vengeance promises 160 hours of content to see both storylines through- 80 hours each. Now that’s an RPG.

Shin Megami Tensei is the original franchise of which the Persona series, and 2022’s Soul Hackers 2, was borne out of. So expect to see familiar demons and demon fusing mechanics. Shin Megami Tensei V was released in 2021 exclusively on Switch, and publisher Atlus has said that the game has sold over 1 million copies worldwide.

Speaking of, exclusive to players who played the original Shin Megami Tensei on Switch, you can register three demons from your Demon Compendium to SMT V: Vengeance. So you can unlock higher-end demons early on.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance releases on June 21 for the the PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
